Lady Gaga & Ariana grande Make it rain

Have you seen the latex costuming in Lady Gaga’s duet with Ariana Grande, on the video clip for Rain On Me,? Better yet, have you seen the two divas leading a ‘live’ weather report, called “Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande Are The Chromatica Weather Girls”?  Here’s the first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoAm4om0wTs Here’s the second: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZkOxrJHlTE&feature=youtu.be The bespoke …

Little Richard

We all know what a sexy latex top, a loud sound system and colossal video screen can bring to modern music performance. But without attitude, a singer/performer/modern-day diva (man or woman) is sunk. Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and so many others would be lost without their particular joie de vivre, no matter what they are …

Dawnamatrix In The Philadelphia Museum of Art book “Off the Wall: American Art to Wear.”

This article elaborates on WOW’s (The World Of Wearable Art) global importance in an academic context…and quite the global importance the competition holds. Our “Foreign Bodies” outfit, which was awarded the Overall International Design Award, International Award: Americas Winner at the WOW competition in 2018, makes an appearance in the book.  Designing bespoke latex, flattered …

Warner Brothers Studios Tour New Costume Display

Warner Brothers Studios has ‘upped the ante’ on their game recently in what they are showing to the public of their costume collection, allowing the public into view both an Aquaman/Wonder Woman DC collection as well as displaying wardrobe pieces from Crazy Rich Asians and the Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper A Star Is Born.

Good Old Alt. Couture At The 2019 Grammys

All good things do indeed come to those who wait where latex couture and alternate wardrobe is concerned. This past Sunday the 2019 Grammys finally gave us what we have been hoping for in a prominent entertainment industry award show, lots of exciting wardrobe designs and wild textile art to salivate over.

Lady Gaga’s Award Season Tour Couture

This week the A Star Is Born star attended the National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala wearing a black tuxedo dress sporting a halter neck. The haute couture piece made by Ralph Lauren sported 23,000 crystals, and Gaga accessorized with black heels…and a black-and-gold feathered short cape.

Couture Is Color At The 76th Golden Globe Awards

This is what one can take away from the outfits worn for the “76th Golden Globe Awards,” shown this past Sunday. Far from years previous of all-black wardrobe choices making specific statements, or celebs wearing ribbons of various colors supporting particular causes, the men and women showing up The Beverly Hilton represented a fine rainbow of colors and equally varied styles.

Nicki Minaj Does It Again…To Billboard

We offer our most heart-felt congratulations of such an amazing accomplishment from one of our most stunning original current pop stars, Nicki Minaj. A star who continues to challenge her musical peers as much the fashion world. A world we are proud to say we are part of.

Lady Gaga Is A Star

The Lady certainly wowed the crowd at The Venice Film Festival this week with what she wore, coming in to promote her new film (starring her and Bradley Cooper, who also directed). Sailing into the sinking Italian city on a boat, Gaga was wearing a Jonathan Simkhai bustier LBD dress, an equally black stiletto dangling off the side of the boat she arrived in.

Lady Gaga For Fashion Icon…or President?

Then throwing all this wardrobe mixing and matching asunder, Lady Gaga made an appearance at the One America Appeal concert with the five living ex-U.S. presidents. President George H.W. Bush, President George Bush, President Jimmy Carter, President Barack Obama, and President Clinton all attended the concert to help victims of recent hurricanes in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. And Gaga posed with the great men.

Dawnamatrix In The MAC Nicopanda Launch in NYC

. The recent event for the lady’s line was for the launch of the company’s brand new cosmetics, MAC Nicopanda. As you can see from the pictures here, we provided the latex leggings model Jazzelle Zanaughtti was wearing for her appearance. Matching one of our best selling latex accessories with her silver skirt, big sweatshirt and heavy heeled shoes, makes for a modern street fashion look we could never have imagined, but were certainly blown away by when we first saw it.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story

We have certainly seen our share of latex costuming, wildly horrific images and incredible star turns on the various seasons of FX’s American Horror Story. American Crime Story (sharing two of AHS’s producers and both appearing on the same network) just revealed a trailer for the 2nd season of its true crime anthology series. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story is a 10-episode look into the 1997 killing of the fashion giant by serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

Grammys 2017: Red Carpet Showdown

Though there wasn’t a hint of latex costumes this time out, still we all were treated to quite the startling mix of styles at the Grammys 2017 even before the show began. All but a show unto itself (and certainly broadcast), the red carpet walkin-in is as much a perfect advertisement for designers as it is for stars to get in a first outrageous outfit before they often times change for the show itself.

Velvet Anyone?

Here at Dawnamatrix we live for the unlimited possibility of textile art and how it relates to alternative couture. Zara doesn’t sport anything as naughty as a velvet catsuit, one probably wouldn’t be combing the site for a cosplay outfit or fetish gear specifically (although who can say how someone might come to use velvet?). But it is important to note, that just as we have seen with latex, there is a strong market for materials slightly to the left of what is commonly used in everyday couture, and not just for video stars or for Lady Gaga checking out her local deli counter.

With Latex A Picture Truly Is Worth A Thousand Words

We are all well aware of where we might see latex fashion design, rubber clothing, those outfits and accessories we all crave to wear. From fashion events, to specific magazines, possibly on Lady Gaga on a semi-regular basis, that couture that makes such an impression in our lives, certainly makes a showing from time to time. And when it comes to latex, PVC, rubber, alternate wardrobes, a picture really is worth a thousand words, and a few new publications are speaking volumes with their pics featuring the stuff we love.

Lady Gaga For Her Gladys Tamez Hat

In high cut-off shorts (which she has been seen in lots lately), to fetish clothing and that infamous meat dress (which late night host James Corden actually wore for his “Carpool Karaoke” with Gaga recently) to all manner of neat and quite revealing stuff she wore in her vampiric turn on the “American Horror Story” series, Lady Gaga has made style as well as music. Sporting what seems to be her latest fashion statement, Gaga has been seen in her pink western Gladys Tamez in Central Park as much as during her recent “SNL” turns and even when she was interviewed on “Good Morning America.”

Controversy, Celebrity and a Wheelchair; Kylie Jenner’s Interview Magazine Photos, Part 2.

Well, we made “The View”…or at least a mention of our latex clothing did. Concerning the new Kylie Jenner
Interview Magazine” photos, Whoppi and the ladies hit on not only how sexy the pictures of Kylie were (Raven-Symoné cried out “Her ass was out!” in effect calling-out the Dawnamatrix “cheeky skirt” Kylie was wearing) but the controversy that is currently airing about the fact that Kylie appears in some of the pictures sitting in a wheelchair.

Hello Kitty Invades Seattle’s EMP Museum

Featured in the museum exhibit was Lady Gaga’s plush hello kitty dress, a fiberglass sculpture of a sexy space-suited Hello Kitty wearing couture designed by Colin Christian, all this and more celebrating the famous feline. Produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, created by Yuko Shimizu, Hello Kitty (in Japanese: ハロー・キティ,) was introduced on a purse in Japan in 1975, a year later came to the states and as of 2008 the cute white faced cat with the red bow claimed half of Sanrio’s one billion dollar profits, with 50,000 various Hello Kitty branded products available in over 60 different countries.

American Horror Story and Fishnets on a Plane: Lady Gaga Is At Us Again

As we can all expect, this is not all of Gaga will be seeing. Not only is the pop star presently entertaining sold out crowds (with Tony Bennett no less) on her “Cheek to Cheek” tour, supporting the album with Bennett of the same name, but we she’ll be seen come October in the 5th season installment of the American Horror Story series. Announced back in February, but certainly news again since Comic-Con, the “Little Monsters” creator will be joining the monsters of the popular show in “American Horror Story: Hotel and Scream Queens.” Gaga’s character will play a nasty lady somehow involved with fashion (see the teaser trailer here).
