Beyoncé Is the Latex Cowgirl the world loves

Celebrating a sure sartorial hat streak with the release of what will be her first country album, Beyoncé also doubled-up her love of V-Day…wearing latex.

The forty-two-year-old singer posted two photos on her website last Wednesday. In one she is wearing a bespoke red Stetson hat, curve-revealing red top and a runched latex mini with a leather trench, all care of Marc Jacobs. To say Miss Bey looks fantastic in latex would be an understatement.

If you have caught Beyoncé’s new tune (see the video here: Beyoncé – TEXAS HOLD ‘EM (Music Video) (youtube.com) one can surely see the lady embracing her full cowgirl. In the clip we see the singer in hats (no surprise there) denim shorts, tight cow-print top and tights, a startling sexy open jacket over her bare torso, see-thru tights, a single sparkling jewel in her eye (not very western, but who cares?). She also struts around in (well straddles her version of a mechanical bull) in a light blue leotard and a bejeweled see-thru white top.

Great stuff from the queen and her new stuff.

This article explores Beyoncé new look and how it is influencing western couture sales. She just appeared at the Grammy’s in a cowboy hat. And with both first singles from her new album, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Candles,” and her Super Bowl Verizon commercial, where she announced these new songs and her upcoming album, Renaissance Act II, Google searches for cowboy hats shot up 212.5 percent.

So, like Madonna and lace gloves, any number of Heavy Metal artists sporting their leather jackets and studs, Prince and his Edwardian collars, and Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry (and so many more) in latex wardrobes, we can’t help but be influenced by what we see hear and adore of women like Beyoncé.

Renaissance Act II drops March 29th. Cowboys are also riding hard into town to line up and get it.
