Montreal Fetish Weekend 2015: Day 3-Ending

As we have mentioned plenty about this event, it is as much the people as the city that makes Montreal Fetish Weekend so unique. You can as much put on a fashion show the first day-outside!- (see here ) as you can simply get dressed-up in your finest fetish frockery and walk the wonderful Canadian artsy city with a whole bunch of other folks dressed just as wild. Everywhere one goes, inside and out, at MFW events or just along the shops or eateries of the city, one is welcomed, as alt. wardrobe wearers walk alongside everyday folk and pictures are snapped everywhere.

Spotlight on Four D Rubber, Dawnamatrix Latex Supplier

Four D is a global-wide “market leading manufacturer of natural & synthetic precision latex rubber sheeting and products.” Through their half century and more of creation and service (they have been working with latex clothing for 35 years) the company has gained a reputation second-to-none for producing the marketplace’s leading thin latex sheeting, and to be sure, this thinness is so very important to a designer like us who needs to manipulate material in so many ways. 4D’s continued innovations and their willingness to jump right in and help with any quandary presented them has seen them provide products and materials to not just latex couture designers but for dental Dams, food processing equipment and even exercise putty.$

So, back to Montreal Fetish Weekend 2015: Day 2

We got to show-off our butterfly latex collection in all its splendor, it was wonderful to see the pieces on stage together telling our particular story. Richard and Holy lead the “Harbingers of Fantasy” piece with their lively entrance, wearing their perfectly fitted latex couture with lasers flowing from their fingertips. Then we had a cycle of performers and of course our stunning queen, cloaked as she was in her robe waiting for just the right moment for her assistants to help her reveal her gown.

Dawnamatrix@Montreal Fetish Weekend 2015: Day 1

Getting a mention in the venerable Huffington Post about our latex clothing (see here https://quebec.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/09/04/weekend-fetiche-montreal-mode-latex_n_8090736.html specifically images 49-71), enjoying another rollicking beginning of Sept. alternate fashion weekend in Montreal, and feeling the love for our new pieces, I guess you could say that Dawnamatrix@Montreal Fetish Weekend 2015 was a success. Just making the Huff Post alone would be a feather in our Steampunk Style Hat (and it is) but the welcome and the camaraderie is really what we go ‘up’ to Montreal for time and again, and the city, as much the people, never disappoint.

On Location With Paul Allan

We have been lucky enough to work with photographer Paul Allan for years but on this shoot we finally got to meet and collaborate in person; a singular thrill. Model Jessica Mion was simply stunning in our outfits (as you will see in this video from photo shoot) and the photo featured here. And make-up artist Loredana Elenna and hair stylist Kat Trotter-Viterbo had Jessica looking her best throughout.

The Sunday That Was The 2015 VMAs

Coming in to the Microsoft Theater Miley wore an Atelier Versace ensemble of high silver boots, a jewel ‘panty’ and suspenders…and not much else. Later on throughout the show she sported various body suits, rainbow flowered sleeves and along with a bunch of drag queens supporting her on the expletive ridden performance of ““Dooo It!” Miley’s designer BCalla managed to create outfits that so seemingly resembling Di$count Univer$e’s threads that a controversy has been brewing all week over this supposed blatant rip off.

Marquis Magazine…Alive And Well With C. Michael Martell

A standard bearer for alternative couture-to say the least-the lush glossy Marquis Magazine was beloved by all who ever strapped into a corset or wore a latex mask. Begun by Czernich in 1994 after losing the right to his original magazine “O”’s name, what was started as a compliment ‘spin-off’ to Skin Two became a sensation all its own. Two years after Marquis began Czernich began Heavy Rubber (not a magazine about tires, to be sure!) he also continued to publish stand-alone photographic books and create and sell clothing.
