Taste The Sweetness Of Sugared Kiss

Expert erotic photographer Ashley Fontenot and famous fetish model Emily Marilyn have teamed up to reveal their specific take on latex fashion, alternative fashion photography and the overall world-class beauty of women in “Sugared Kiss.” Presenting this new “photography magazine of women, by women,” we asked Ashley specifically about the whys and wherefores of  “trying to put together readers of Playboy, Skin Two, Vogue and Photo magazines in the same room and have them not judge each other,” as she says that her and Emily imagine they are doing with Sugared Kiss. They have begun a Kickstarer Campaign, to help purchase software and basic systems to get the publication up and running, and below Ashley has been kind enough to answer a few questions for us.

In this day and age, is a magazine-either online or print-a risky venture?

For sure. Over the last 15 years we’ve seen so many of the print publications we love disappear due the shift in how the majority of consumers prefer to receive their media. I do not believe that print is dead and in fact, I believe it is more precious than ever. We’ve chosen to go digital because it is less risky and also because we believe that our audience now relies on their smartphones, tablets and computers for their media. We will offer print on demand because it is important to still be able to hold and collect something.

With alternate fashion now in the mainstream, and lots of salacious images already appearing online-daily-how do you rise above and make what you offer unique?

There are a lot of things that set us apart from what is currently being offered in the publishing world. First, we are publishing an American photography magazine that feels like a European one. Also, we are a female run operation which gives us a bit of an edge as far as aesthetics go.

And the ultimate goal, what you want the public to take away mostly from Sugared Kiss?

We ultimately want someone to see a photo of a beautiful woman in latex as more artful than taboo. Same thing when they see a photo with nudity. I think we are offering a different perspective, unlike a lot of what is currently out there.

Here at Dawnamatrix we certainly think Ashley and Emily Marilyn are bringing something new to visual art of beautiful women and photography. Again, the Sugared Kiss Kickstarter Campaign, which is scheduled to run through May 18th, 2018, can be viewed at (and joined): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sugaredkiss/sugared-kiss-photography-magazine
