Get out your bandannas, latex catsuits, and motorcycles even. OTR II is coming.
Beyoncé and JAY-Z just announced the dates for their On The Run 11 tour. This set of concerts will take the pair through stadiums, beginning in the UK, then running through Europe and swinging by to romp through North America, starting July 25th. The husband-and-wife musical juggernaut last toured together in 2014 for the first “On the Run” tour. But from viewing the black and white video promo of the tour revealed across Miss Bey’s Instagram page yesterday, it’s really anybody’s guess exactly what costuming we might catch from the two this time around.
With the cryptic “This is not real life,” flashing across the start of the clip, we get slow motion shots of the couple on stage (Beyoncé resplendent in various sexy pieces of wardrobe like a mesh-and-leather one-piece with strategically placed studs) as well as them posing on a motorcycle obviously shot just for this promo. At the beginning of the black-and-white video, we do get a shot of Jay-Z in hat, leather jacket and that bandanna covering is face, but we all know, he will be bested (and as it should be) by the sartorial splendor Beyoncé dares reveal for for these shows.
As far as song selection, it’s assumed that audiences will be treated to a mix of the many tunes from Beyoncé’s Lemonade and JAY-Z’s and 4:44. And given those specific songs, the performances are sure to be incendiary regardless of what Beyoncé and JAY-Z step out on stage in.
