DC FanDome, Part 1: Hall of Heroes

Cosplayers, fantasy game role-players, movie magic lovers, superhero fans, and latex costume lovers unite today for the first part of the super streaming DC fan event, DCFANDOME. An online experience boasting a deep dive into DC, this global free event is truly unprecedented, the very best result of how we have come to enjoy ‘live’ events presently.

In fact, hot off the presses, the Daily Star (see here) just announced that the global FREE fan experience will roll out in 2-parts. First, there is the fantastic stuff happening today, Saturday, August 22nd, in the DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes. A second part of this experience, DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, takes place on September, 12th.

Presented in nine languages, available for all mobile devices, as well as for laptop and desktops, DC is leaving no one out for this event.

Today fans will be let into the one-of-a-kind Hall of Heroes, a portal personally designed by Jim Lee. Here, fans can visit various “islands” to explore DC films and TV series (as you will recall, we designed latex costumes for DC’s Doom Patrol) games, comics, etc. There will be exclusive reveals with stars (at last count, 300 were attending), crew and creators, downloadables, and even interactive spaces; everything a fan needs to see far ahead into the DC future. The 8-hour show will air three times today, beginning at 10:am, PDT.

Highlights for today include panels for Wonder Woman 1984Black Adam, and the highly anticipated (and much talked over) The Batman. There will even be a mid-day musical performance by Chris Daughtry.

DC claims the FanDome will give San Diego Comic-Con (live and virtual) a run for its money. Today and what’s coming in September, are sure to deliver all a fan could ever want, all accessible from the comfort of our own homes.
