We just received an email update from the wonderful Marquis Magazine featuring fetish model/pin-up Bianca Beauchamp in some killer see-through latex clothing. Bianca having equally killer curves to show off makes the wearing of sexy revealing outfits even better, but given the ‘naked dress’ trend celebrities sported in 2016 (on stage and off), and what we all know about see-through latex couture, it is worth noting the intricacies of concealing to reveal.
For men and women both-though wearing latex or any outfit of a see-through variety seems to be something women do more than men-there comes a fine line with just what to show and how to show it. The aforementioned wardrobe choices of celebrities, women like Rihanna seemingly starting it all in 2014 at the CFDA Awards, Lady Gaga jumping on stage and off with any number of see-through wardrobe choices and Jenners/Kardashians showing off across Instagram daily, still pales in comparison to what the fetish fashionista can get up to sporting a latex elegant gown. Certainly, when any of us ‘go’ see-through it can as much be the color (or lack of it) in the latex we are wearing, as it can be a consideration on the actual thickness of the material that makes the outfit daring. Designs, as well as judiciously rendered applique, can cover offending body parts (at least those that offend the general public) and of course, there are those wardrobe pieces (bespoke or off-the-rack) that are simply made with no covering or color to cover a blessed thing!
Then comes the question of what, if anything, to wear underneath it all. Depending on the occasion, you could sport a thong, high-cut panties and let’s never forget the all-purpose pasties, when one is feeling conservative. With our see-thru haute couture these undergarments also become a consideration of what of them we want to show-off and indeed if our intention is to show them off.
Yes, there is a little bit of intrigue and intricacy both when concealing to reveal….as there always should be.
