Surely, we’ve seen lots of Cardi B in latex dresses, walking red carpets, and plenty in the public eye even though her last album was released seven years ago. But now we have the lady ‘dropping’ the cover for her new album as well as a clip for the first single from it, “Outside.” The upcoming album, AM I the DRAMA? is available for pre-order now, with its official release, September 19th.
And, as always with the 32-year-old diva, we are as interested in her music as we are in her couture.
There was no escaping, and really, nobody can forget the array of fanciful (and plenty of it latex) seen on Cardi B and her video cohorts in her infamous WAP video. (Dawnamatrix was not the only outlet that expounded at length about that clip). And when it comes to her upcoming album, once again Cardi B is again showing off in some fantastic couture.
Ok, it’s not latex, but still…
The standard cover, as you see above, reveals Cardi B laying on her side, wearing a sculpted crimson coat flowing into a hat, matching stilettos, with crows flying about and one perched on her heel. The second cover (see below) has Cardi dressed the same, crow still with her, but she stands facing out, half her famous face hidden by that crow’s wing.
She is also releasing her new album as a ubiquitous limited-edition. This red box includes her new album, some exclusive artwork, custom packaging with its interior sporting “YES I AM” in gold lettering. The outside design shows Cardi B reclining in the outfit from AM I the Drama? cover. A poster is also included of Cardi B in a film noir pose, VILLIAN printed across its bottom with “Call for trouble! 1-800-DRAMA.”

As she says in the Instagram clip about Am I the Drama?
“Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, light, and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now I give them hell. I learned power’s not giving, it’s taking. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.”
I guess its time to welcome Cardi B back and all that could possibly(hopefully) come with her
