Stove Top, Rita Ora and The Warriors of Themyscira Provide Fun Fashion Fodder

And we sometimes get a raised eyebrow over some of the latex clothing we wear? Well, have a look at some of the wacky fashion news that landed on the web just this week.

Making a joke as if she was approached at the very last minute, Rita Ora wore a white bathrobe and towel to ‘run over’ and host the 2017 MTV EMAs this past Sunday. The singer/actress at least accessorized with over seven million of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds and changed into a shorter robe for her celebrity fashion later in the show.

Moschino finally released their transparent garment bag “Cape Sheer Overlay Dress” to the retail market this week. The plastic dry-cleaner’s bag is part of the ‘trash-collection’ the designer debut at Fall 2017 Milan Fashion Week. The clear full length gown is selling for $900.00, while a mini version sells for $600.00.

On the seeming practical side of things, the well-known Kraft brand is adding to all our comfort. “Stove Top Thanksgiving Dinner Pants,” are coming available this week. Described as “comfortable, stretch-waisted pants with a little bit of Stove Top style, the Stuffin’-Stretch waistband of these pants allows wearers to “eat in comfort” for Thanksgiving.

What might turn out to be one of the holidays big tent pole movies, Justice League is already courting controversy. The film features Aquaman, The Flash, Batman, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman, and it’s Wonder Woman’s fellow Amazonian warriors that have blogs a’buzzing. It seems the ladies of Themyscira, W.W.’s home, are not wearing appropriate women warrior wardrobe. Michael Wilkinson’s costume design for the new DC film is being called out as being much too revealing for women fighting enemies to death.

It’s nice to know that as the world turns there comes some sartorial silliness and small world concerns over fashion. We could all always use a chuckle or two and some attention to the mundane from time to time.
