We have been blogging all summer about showing our latex couture at the upcoming Seattle Fashion Week. Well, the singular upper North West Fashion Event is finally upon us.
Dawnamatrix will debut our new line of raincoats and outerwear, “Waterproof” (see here for more details: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/runway-show-experience-day-one-ready-to-wear-friday-oct-14-tickets-28374920150 ) during Oct. 14th’s “Ready-to-Wear Runway Experience.” Let’s face it, living and working in Seattle, we have come to experience those days when a waterproof article of clothing comes in handy. We are hoping our wares make an impression alongside all the other scrumptious clothing to be on display.
The actual events taking place Oct 13-19th include:
OCT 13 | Exclusive VIP Opening Ceremony, Champagne Toast & Ribbon Cutting
OCT 14 | 5:00PM – 10:30PM | Ready-to-Wear Runway Experience
OCT 15 | 5:00PM – 10:30PM | Custom Couture Runway Experience
Partnering with Sound Transit and the various departments within the City of Seattle, both King Street Station & Union Street Station are being transformed for the event. As SFW boasts, the long weekend will be “THE Premiere Innovative Convergence of Fashion, Arts and Technology.”
As much participating in the fashion exhibition, we are also thrilled to be part of what will prove to be an interesting interaction of so many talented people, from the textile art field, as well as so many others that the city of Seattle has invited. Sponsors such as City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture–King Street Station, Sound Transit-Union Station, City of Seattle Office of Economic Development, City of Seattle Office of Film & Music, SDOT and Vann.Edge Salon (on-hand for demonstrations as well as sponsoring) assures a lot of diversity of who will be present…for designers and attendees both.
