Paris In Latex

It’s not a forgone conclusion that a Fashion Week will reveal interesting couture, alternate fashion style or even latex outfits…although we always wish for all three. From either what is seen across a runway or maybe worn by a well-known attendee, we need aways keep our eyes peeled, and hope springs eternal here at Dawnamatrix Designs. Thankfully this week, three celebrity audience members attending Paris Fashion Week delivered some latex moments we are coveting.

First, there was singer Ayra Starr, rocking a latex mini with cutouts from Balmain. Attending the designer’s show in this outfit, Starr paired the dress with a corset top and cone bra. She accessorized with latex heels to complete her look.

This is the young woman who told Teen Vogue last year: “If you feel a certain way about me and my music and the way I dress, you’ll be fine.”
We are fine with her latex, for sure.

With a recent hint across the web that she might be returning to acting via an upcoming Lena Dunham movie, Emily Ratajkowski featured her amazing abs (and the amazing rest of her) front-and-center when heading into the Courrèges show this Wednesday. Matching a stomach-baring latex top, revealing one shoulder and an almost completely open back, with a black skirt and black leather boots, E.R., once again, looked perfect.

Then again, when doesn’t she?

Following Ratajkowski in wearing a latex top, Gabrielle Brooks stepped into the Saint Laurent womenswear show in a checkered suit of padded shoulder blazer and pencil skirt, wearing a latex shirt underneath. Subtle, sexy, and stylish, the lady wore her latex as we always champion this textile can be worn.

We still have some time (until March 5th) to possibly enjoy some more latex couture spotting at Paris Fashion Week. Whether some designer features latex in their women’s collection for fall/winter 2024-2025, or our celebrities keep us satisfied with their see-and-be-scene choices, we will be on the lookout, for sure.
