Are you aware that you can get as much as you want of latex costumes, evil masterminds, and all you’ll ever need for your cosplay fantasies this week?! Series, movies, cartoons to live-action, Netflix gives it all to you (and more) during their Geeked Week 202, running right now, until Friday.
The specific times and dates for this first-ever genre celebration from the streaming service are: Monday, June 7 to Friday, June 11, every day at 9 am PT/12 pm ET/5 pm GMT. In addition, all of the Geeked Week content will be hosted on Netflix’s official channels, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Twitch, and TikTok, and a recap will be available after each day at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET/ 10 am JST.
The content here features fantasy, sci-fi, anime, as much as shows about gaming and comic books, with a promised 50+ shows featured. In addition, new trailers and teasers of upcoming series and shows, interviews with creators and stars, and first-look behind-the-scenes stuff are also promised.
Rahul Kohli and Mari Takahashi host.
Movies and series featured run the gambit from “The Sandman,” to “Arcane,” to “Lucifer,” to “Cowboy Bebop,” and “Kate,” the newly released and already super popular Robert Downey Jr. produced “Sweet Tooth.”
Considering all the truly out-of-this-world ‘geeky’ programming the streaming service currently…streams, it’s no surprise that a Geeked Week like this is happening at Netflix. Seemingly single-handily championing genre series and films, it was Netflix that began the hugely successful phenomena of “Stranger Things,” the network that plucked “Cobra Kai,” from its Youtube run and where Tyler Perry just announced he will once again take Madea out to wreak havoc in his new “A Madea Homecoming,” said to ‘drop’ next year.
Out from under the shutdown, we all might be enjoying some time away from Netflix, all of our devices, for the summer. But for the next few days, at least you can get a good sense of what is on and coming from the streaming service and bolster what you want to binge when you sit down to watch your favorite geeky fare
