Yes, though we do preach unisex couture in our rendering of latex clothing, sorry, sometimes it is all about the girls. We are proud to declare you will find a whole bunch of Dawnamatrix items in the recent WWD (Women’s Wear Daily) Spring Trend Alert photo essay https://wwd.com/fashion-news/other/gallery/trend-little-pink-dresses-10691635/.
It’s a funny thing about fashion magazines and the print ads and photo essays in them. Even with the advent of Instagram and digital news, it seems people still like to pick up and flip through a magazine. Sure, there’s been lots of projections and predictions over the ‘print is dead’ idea, and we’ve all seen the downsizing (in staff and in actual size) of some magazines, or the complete end of others. But in the many places in print across the globe where our wares have been seen, it seems there is still a rabid readership looking to look at models posing in haute couture and fetish wear between magazine pages, as there are folks who like to go to fashion exhibitions and lifestyle events.
Certainly, WWD is not your garden variety fashion magazine. It’s often referred to as “the bible of fashion” and is, for all intents and purposes a fashion industry trade journal. Inside its covers, you can as much read articles on media execs, beauty trends, textile art, as you might see photo essays featuring women in our Premium Thigh Highs or Lux Bra (and quite a few more items in the Spring Trend Alert piece.)
The photography in the Spring Trend Alert piece is by Hannah Khymych, the stylist on the shoot was Mayte Allende and the model, Carmen Julia. And in these scrumptious photos you will see our accessories matched and mixed with Marc Jacobs, Vex Clothing, Fendi, Alessandra Rich’s and others. We are proud to be in such expert talented company and to be featured in such a prestigious publication as WWD.
