Sometimes latex clothing and alternate wardrobe accessories make it to the mainstream right along the likes of haute couture from fashion’s heavy hitters. Such is the case with Dawnamatrix this month as we see our accessories in the October issue of Interview Magazine alongside Dior and Chanel.
The “In The Air” piece, photographed by Fabien Baron and styled by Karl Templer, features models in fishnets and sequins, “Urbane Streetwear and Parisian Sensibility,” Louis Vuitton dresses, supermodel Kaia Gerber showing off her wild hair in two shots, and a Gucci “Nerd Heritage” shoot. There are also a couple of well-placed nudes, some landscape pictures and two distinctive pairings…very distinctive for us. In the photo entitled “Slick” our collar and gloves are matched with Dior’s new leather trench and in the shot with Chanel’s quilting styles, we once again provide the gloves.
See the entire shoot here, or better yet buy a copy of the magazine founded by art superstar Andy Warhol in 1969.
As the In The Air shoot is described:
“These ideas come to you, on the wind, like the fallen leaves: images you’ve never seen but cannot shake; people and feelings and a mutual inspiration everyone seems to know and be talking about. The ideas are not necessarily connected, but come together more like the slideshow of a season, the movie of your mood. This portfolio is a stream-of-consciousness collection of the faces, places, and thoughts on my mind right now, about the memories that haven’t yet faded away, and the premonitions of what is to come.”
We certainly appreciate not only the opportunity to contribute to this new issue of such a scrumptious fashion magazine, but also the above sensibility of a “slideshow of a season,” where ideas (styles and clothing materials as well) might not exactly be connected, but together can make a very potent brew.
