Cheerleader’s Halloween, Michael Jackson Thrills Ireland, DesignerCon, Yeezy Returns

Yes, there were lots of latex couture goodies to be seen, either from celebrities dressing up or even from what we call ‘regular’ people going out over the past weekend. But fashion news marches on, with or without our favorite textile being involved.

And as we try to do often here, we are reporting on some rather lighter moments that passed this week…

As we reported here, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders were involved in some outfit controversy last week. After this Sunday’s game, the ladies came under scrutiny again when they debuted a uniform celebrating Halloween. See the shiny, long-sleeve, silver jumpsuits with their strategic upper thigh cutouts here. Accessorized with black cowboy hats, this costume drew such a rash of criticism across the web that we certainly think it warrants inclusion in this news roundup.

Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” jacket is presently on display at A Thriller of an Exhibition – Michael Jackson: A Fashion Legacy. This public viewing enjoyed its grand opening at Newbridge Silverware, Co. Kildare, Ireland, this past week.

DesignerCon 2026 has opened its Online Ticket Box Office. This year’s show, running next weekend, Friday, November 13th until Sunday, November 15th, happens at The Expo at World Market Center, 435 S Grand Central Pkwy, in Las Vegas, NV. Attendees can enjoy the yearly art and design convention where collectible toys, plushies, designer apparel and urban art mesh together.

Kanye West’s Yeezy brand returned to the runway in L.A., yesterday, presenting the brand’s new Season 01 collection.  The event coincided with the opening of the brand’s first flagship store, held at the Yeezy Flagship Droam 1 space on Beverly Boulevard. Built around a minimalist vibe with models in monochrome, decoration-free couture, strutting around a large white scenery ‘hill.’

The last full-fledged Yeezy runway show, Season 9, took place in Paris in October 2022, marred by controversy when Yeezy partner Adidas ended its association with West following his anti-Semitic remarks.
