We had hoped that with as many changes as she managed, host and performer Jennifer Lopez might have included at least a hint of latex in at least one of her outfits during last night’s American Music Awards 2025.
She didn’t.
Neither did any other notable.
Lopez did manage into sparkling bodysuits, nearly naked textiles, and skintight ensembles. Plus, there was all that kissing people can’t seem to get enough of.
More on her in a bit.
Some wardrobe highlights:
- Becky G wiggled herself into a strapless leopard print mini.
- Singer Ciara was dripping in jewels in a low-cut crystal-embellished strapless top and fringe skirt.
- Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”, nominated for seven AMAs, mixed and matched tartan, leather, bangle-y bows, and denim in his bespoke Etro.
- Lainey Wilson wore a Rahul Mishra’s embroidered suit matched with cape and cowboy hat.
- Heidi Klum, fresh off of ‘training’ Cannes (in more ways than one) sported another gown with an impressive back end.
- Janae Nierah Wherry/Sexyy Red strutted across the red carpet in a red low-slung sheer skirt and same color bodice.
As for Jennifer Lopez…
As mentioned, the news today is as much alive with the surely stunning array of wardrobe changes J.Lo managed during the broadcast from the new Fontainbleau Las Vegas…as the lady kissing three different backing dancers during her opening performance. But beyond the homage to Britney Spears, Madonna and Christina Aguilera’s three-way at MTV Video Music Awards 22 years ago, Lopez’s stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, surely outfitted the lady perfectly.
From a long-sleeve futuristic shimmery bodysuit, halter gowns with sky-high slits, scaly gold gowns, and what was called the “J.Lo Diamond Gown”— a cross-shaped diamond-studded top laying across Lopez’s torso attached to a silver fringe column skirt—a mousse-toned dress with a plunging neck, featuring rings, chains, and cut-outs (oh my!), Jennifer Lopez didn’t miss a beat with her highly fashionable, recognizable and oh-so-sexy sartorial turns.
But alas, again we say…where was the latex?
