Although we were there to present a latex couture fashion show, this article states that The Dallas Fetish Ball was a “real flesh mob.”
And, in a way, it really was.
Taking place last Saturday at the legendary Longhorn Ballroom, the event, which featured a lubing station, a photo booth at the entrance, the deliciously naughty “Wheel of Pain” sideshow, and a vendor’s area, was one of the best of these kinds of get-togethers we have ever got to, and we have got to plenty.
The people, as much as the dungeon and a DJ, can make—or break—these events (and TDFB certainly had a dungeon, where, of course, no photography was allowed and was monitored well by security). The folks attending this particular fun, fashion, and frolic night made this Texas see-and-be scene with their enthusiasm, style, and respect for their fellow partiers.
Mentioned in the article above as a “charismatic jokester with a John Waters air,” host Sir Richard Castle introduced acts from the mainstage, even managing to perform his own skit during the night. Those acts included Rosa Lee Bloom & Ruby Lead, performing as a priest and nun, respectively, with several more performers showcasing their dancing abilities and some amazing aerial acrobatics.
The aforementioned DJs for this night were DJ Lord Byron, Alley Kat, and Joe Virus.
Referring to the above article one last time, our latex fashion show was described as “a fashion walk featuring some of the wildest latex outfits by the talented designer Dawnamatrix.”
Everything might be bigger in Texas, as the old saying goes, but the big old state played perfect host to a great time for the alternative fashion faithful fetish fan.
