Singer Chlöe wowed us this week, posing in a fire-engine red latex gown in the teaser video to announce her debut album, In Pieces. You can see the video here.
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter/actress chose a bespoke Venus Prototype dress to tickle her fans’ further interest in her first solo album. As you can see from the clip, the camera slowly zooms out, revealing the whole silhouette of the mermaid-style, long sleeve latex couture, with its high neck, pointy shoulders, form-fitted bodice, and pleaded skirt, falling to the ground. Chlöe holds her arms high and out to her sides, balancing gold scales, in one hand a globe, the other, a big heart supporting flowers.
Last year Chlöe was seen performing in a rainbow array of bodysuits, so she is no stranger to form-fitting outfits and alternative fashion in general. From selfies, she posts showing off her curves in those high-on-the-hip cutout bodysuits to a sheer silver gown she wore at last year’s MTV VMAs to her stunning turn at the exposed thong trend she showed off at the same year’s Billboard Music Awards. In this last stunning instance, Chlöe, wore a two-piece black leather ensemble, supporting a high-neck, built-in gloves, and a cutout that began under her bust, wrapped around her left thigh, and exposed her stomach. That cutaway left quite a bit of her hip and even more of her backside exposed as well.
As revealed to In the Know about her feelings of dressing/feeling sexy, “When I hear the word ‘sexy,’ when I want to be sexy, when I want to feel sexy, I don’t really think of that as a bad thing. I don’t think of it as being promiscuous. That’s just being confident.”
Confidently ‘going solo’ from the musical success she has had as part of Chloe x Halle duo with her sister, as of 2021 Chlöe has released the single “Have Mercy.” In Pieces is set to be released in March.
