Latex couture, statements scrolled across wardrobe choices, ‘nude’ dresses, and awards; this is what we’ve been treated to the last few weeks. Whether the VMA’s, the Met Gala, or the Emmy’s, we have seen lots of fashion colliding with high-end star-studded broadcast events, with some awarding. This has always been the case, and fortunately, the pandemic didn’t completely kill these big cultural happenings. Another big fashion-related happening began streaming across Amazon Prime as of yesterday: Rihanna’s super sexy Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 3
Kicking off the show, model legend Cindy Crawford, ascended a spiral staircase. With dancers attending her and Jade Novah singing, the icon was outfitted in an emerald green dress with a daring slit, proving age is just a number.
Scoring models who used to walk winged in Victoria’s Secret show, plus a score of beauties which she can call friends, the array of talent here was stunning, as were the performers who appeared right alongside them. This night, Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, and Behati Prinsloo appeared with Normani (who sang in a red room, wearing an emerald green bodysuit, supported by bare chest male dancers), and Puerto Rican superstar Daddy Yankee.
Erykah Badu appeared in a snakeskin print bodysuit, with a matching robe and hat. Leiomy danced down the bridge runway among dancers in blue in a shimmery bra in panty set. And “Livin’ La Vida Loca” hunk himself Ricky Martin opened his performance singing “Qué Rico Fuera,” right after Emily Ratajkowski, Vanessa Hudgens, and Bella Poarch walked the runway to a mash-up of his hits.
Gigi Hadid made quite an appearance if the blog o’ sphere’s rabid reporting is any clue. Having appeared in the Savage shows from their inception, the 26-year-old strutted down the runaway/bridge in a metallic blue Savage X Fenty logo robe, accessorizing with a choker necklace, oversized earrings, silver pumps, blue thong and her hair in a new bangs cut.
Closing show on the roof of The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles, where the Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 3, was held, Rihanna, lady of the hour, stood among male dancers in red trainers, black briefs, and some robes, wearing her own stunning black lace mini.
