For us, latex accessories are as important as the shirts, catsuits and full wardrobe pieces we make. The two pictures here feature our latex gloves and our Premium Thigh Highs married with fabric garments shot for a urban/Boho shoot ‘PUFF,’ done locally.
We have stylist Karla Ortiz overseeing the looks, Tereza Janakova snapping the pictures, Heidi Nymark-Williams lending her talents in MUA and Hair. The model in the picture, represented by Option Model and Media out of Portland, OR, is the stunning Hazel.
In a way, you might come to notice the latex more when it is represented in only a few pieces or as an accessory. Winning the WOW award as we just did, outfitting Katy Perry with a jacket, seeing models strut their stuff in full Dawnamatrix wardrobe it’s nice to celebrate latex accessorizing and the art that goes into it.
Where to place what, mixing and matching a whole bunch of different types of outfits as well as materials, is true textile art. You’ve probably heard about the boho styling that came about a few years ago. Urban/Boho, as is true in these shots, updates the usual Boho styling touchstones of Rattan, brightly color textiles and macramé, pairing them with modern unexpected elements.
Did someone say latex?
Usually when we shoot over some gloves or leggings for a T.V. show or a magazine add, we are accessorizing latex pieces to latex outfits. The PUFF shoot here gave us a chance to work in haute couture in a way we don’t get to do so often, but certainly enjoy and would want to do more of.
And of course, our continued good fortune to work with such talented people as the cast above, always makes the work all that extra special.
