I really hate to do it, it really is just too easy to make this pun, but it is hard indeed ‘keeping-up’ with you-know-who. Now, if what these ladies (sisters and half-sisters all) get into is nothing more than celebrity for nothing much at all, or if their work in the couture culture represents true art in America these days, who can say? But if one wanted to follow a paradigm for keeping one’s name, wares (and I dare say booty) in the public eye, one could take a lesson from the Kardashian and the Jenner ladies.
Take just this past week’s news on these women’s doings:
Kendall posed nude on sister Kourtney’s Instagram this week. Kendall, a pro modeled for Marc Jacobs and Chanel (to name a few) has bared herself previously for “Interview” and “Love” mags. And let’s not forget how much of her sisters (half and whole) we have seen…Kim K. just recently posed nude for “GQ UK.”
Kylie Jenner has recently begun a hair extension line called Kylie Hair Kouture in a partnership with Bellami Hair. Kylie and her sister Kendall have teamed up previously with Steve Madden and PacSun.
Not to be undone by their sister’s hair work Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are teaming with Farouk Systems to release hair “tools and styling products.” This new line is coming next year in the Spring and is called Kardashian Beauty.
And lastly (certainly not least-ly) the pictures and campaign called Kardashians, Curves, and Claridge’s appeared across the net this week. It’s the famous trio of, Khloe, Kim and Kourney’s Kardashian Kollection 5th go round with Lipsy (see here: www.lipsy.co.uk). The British brand launches this new collection at the end of this month.
And of course, less we all forget Keeping Up with the Kardashians is in its 10th season.
