Reporting on another accomplishment we are infinitely proud of, we were commissioned by none other than Olympia Le-Tan for her Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Not only did our nautical theme latex outfits debut at Olympia’s Paris Fashion Week but models Amber Heard and Kiko Mizuhara were involved in showing off the line as was legendary lens men photographer Araki involved in shooting it. Once again being aligned with such a giant in the fashion field is a great honor for us.
Olympia also chose our original design Striped Panty Girdle for her line.
We can’t rightly say enough good things about Olympia Le-Tan.
From designing ready-to-wear clothing to creating infamous book clutches, minaudière, bags and accessories the Paris born lady of an English mom and French dad is one of the most provocative designers currently working couture magic on the global fashion stage. Combing her two loves of reading and embroidery, Olympia truly made her name with her book clutches and continues to conquer every facet of fashion she sets her mind to.
When you work in latex it is often very difficult to have your wardrobe designs recognized by anyone beyond the men and women intensely interested in latex (and only latex). To have such a well known mainstream designer take an interest in our work and then commission us is a feather in our cap we do not take lightly. Having now placed our designs across the known spectrum of media (and continuing to work hard to do so) we are flattered by any and all interest from all these contemporaries we respect so very much.
And not only was all this recent flattering fun from Olympia’s collection covered by Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, and Interview Germany our afore mentioned Striped Panty Girdle was seen across the E! Channel’s “The Fabulist” show when they reviewed some of Olympia purses.
