As she’s not wearing our favorite textile, we can’t weigh in with how she looks in latex. But some recent designer stage outfits Shania Twain wore while opening for Harry Styles during his London concerts (the 12-night run of these shows stretch until 7/4), have earned the 60-year Shania some attention.
And it is surely about her age and what she is wearing.
From a strapless black corset top sporting a keyhole and black hot pants, to a silver sequined minidress paired with knee-high black boots, to a sleeveless black lace top and high-waisted black bottoms, the Canadian superstar shared her feelings of her sexy stage couture on her Instagram. Giving a shout out to designer Dolce & Gabbana and her soon to be released new album Little Miss Twain, Twain said, in part…
“It’s not just the album I love, it’s not just seeing so many young and inspired faces each night at Wembley, it’s being dressed by one of the greatest designers in the world night after night – Here I am, living my childhood dream feeling gorgeous and confident stepping out on stage in such beautiful and powerful D&G looks. Little Miss Twain didn’t have anything and now Shania Twain is so very very grateful for all she has. Thank you Dolce & Gabbana, I’ve loved collaborating with you
Being a designer of what one could consider less-than-conservative couture, we often hear questions from more ‘mature’ latex couture wearers or just the general public whether one might reach an age where one should not be wearing this or that. Who’s to say? We have been to plenty of events, private parties and sold many a bespoke latex garment to folks well beyond their 40s. As Shania says, feeling ‘confidence,’ and ‘powerful,’ is really what dressing, in anything, is all about so if one feels positive in whatever one is wearing then wear it we say.
Now Shania, let’s get you some latex stage wear!
