Although we all certainly love or latex couture, one might not miss seeing our most favorite material in all that Rihanna gives us with her new Savage x Fenty collection. At the recent New York Fashion Week, Rihanna presented a dance-led show for her fashion line at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. With musical performances by Migos, DJ Khaled, Normani, and others, by all accounts, the show was a second-to-none launch of her latest in lingerie. Due to a no-phone policy though, the general public was left wondering what attendees saw.
But RiRi wasn’t about to let us down. The Savage x Fenty show is set to stream presently on Amazon Prime video so that everyone will get a peak of Laverne Cox in a satin pink bodysuit, Bella Hadid in yellow lace bra and panties, and the whole wildly colorful, musically diverse concoction. This sneak peek video shows more of what one can expect tuning in to the show.
Events if this magnitude certainly speaks to what fashion (and sexy couture at that) has become in mainstream culture. Sprinkle in more than a smidgen of star power from the creator of this line, as well as the talented models and performers she has presenting with her and the combination is unstoppable really. The very fact that Rihanna could keep the lid on what was coming from the new Savage x Fenty collection and present it all on her terms, across a platform like Amazon Prime certainly speaks as much to what she is capable of as to what a rabid public will wait for.
Even though the video above shows lots of the show, backstage and on, one can; rightly access the intimate wardrobe in this brief snippet. It does seem though that Rihanna has taken into account diverse body types in her models walking the stage runway here, and her choice of lace and color is equally diverse. Undoubtedly, the blog o’ sphere will be alive with opinion after the show airs.
