Loving The Latex Catsuit

We came across this recent beginner’s guide/article to wearing a latex catsuit. Writer Sadie Watkins gives wonderful advice on how to wear this fantastically basic (in the best sense of the word) latex outfit…and we will address some of her advice below. But Watkins gave us pause to consider the latex catsuit and all its wonderfulness.

Often folks stumble into wearing latex for the first time looking for an accessory (gloves, boots, etc.) or when trying to mix and match one piece of wardrobe with a pair of latex leggings, or to invigorate their lingerie. The catsuit would be certainly a next step up from these choices, being one of the more practical and possibly even well-known items of latex couture someone could come to. And while it would seem that only someone confident in their body would dare slip into a catsuit (Sadie reminds us, the clingy nature of a latex suit “may seem intimidating) let’s remember, the catsuit can be worn under lots of different wardrobe pieces, so one does not have to be seen out and about only wearing it.

Now, for wearing one, as the article states, and we agree, buying a high-quality latex catsuit is the purchaser’s first best defense. We all know that the cheaper the quality of the latex you buy the more the possibility of tears and truly, after only a few times wearing it, cheap latex starts to degrade. Plus, you are likely to find more color choices heading for higher grade latex catsuits and you really can’t beat the shine you’ll find when you mine latex of a higher quality kind.

Yes, wiggling into the thing for the first time could be difficult, but remember the lube and also start from the feet. Avoid pulling, more like wriggling, fitting the suit up your body, then adjusting as it is on you. Depending on where you are going and what else you may or may not add to your wardrobe, you should take to lubing the outside of the catsuit as well. And make sure to clean it when you peel it off your body later. Here is the Dawnamtarix guide to how to care for your latex couture. No matter what it is you are wearing, a latex catsuit, or anything else, we recommend these tips for keeping your latex in good shape for a very long time.

Also, before you head out for that big party or even to model for a friend, walk around a bit in the catsuit, get a feel for this unique second skin. This is good advice Watkins offers in her piece and plenty of people don’t consider all that often. Or at least folks new to wearing latex fail to execute.

Thanks to Sadie Watkins for a great piece, for reminding us of how a latex catsuit might just be the best first latex outfit to own and what is indeed so great about it.

So, now go out and strut.
