Latex Redux

It’s one thing to slip into a latex wardrobe for an award show red carpet strut-in. Or to be seen in some skin-tight latex couture for a superhero role you have stepped into. And we constantly point out singers wearing latex costumes for video or stage appearances. But when our best and brightest show up in latex time and again, we have to think they might just be as thrilled with our favorite textile as we are.

There was Ella Morgan, a well-known personality from the reality show Married at First Sight UK and an award-winning trans advocate appearing on the British Celebs Go Dating just recently, wearing a curve-hugging sleeves catsuit made of…yes you guessed it.

Morgan was famously seen in stunning latex this past October when attending the Pink News Awards.

There was Lauren Sánchez who stepped out in the span of four days, dressed in two different latex outfits. First, to celebrate her son’s birthday, the 54-year-old mom wore a red Versace latex dress. Then a mere four days later the entertainer/TV ancho and contributor was seen in LA in a black latex mini, featuring spaghetti straps.

Latex mini or even a more modest LBD, you really can’t go wrong with a classic.

Rachel Agatha Keen, more famously known as RAYE, in promoting her single “Genesis,” was also seen in a black latex mini for a recent celebrity shoot. The 26-year-old singer, born in London, also sported latex couture at the British GQ Men of the Year Awards and the Brit Awards where she won six awards.

Be it some bright-eyed stylist, or the celeb in question trying to outdo their contemporaries, or simply taking to latex beyond all other kinds of couture, it does seem more than one of our better-known stars indulges in latex styling again and again.

We’re sure to see these ladies wearing some sort of latex in the future.
