As we mentioned a few weeks back, Dawnamatrix has been invited to show some of our latex couture in a fashion show at the upcoming Dallas Fetish Ball, Nov. 11th, 2023.
This gathering of these alt. festooned and party players began as a Sunday night costume get-together back in 1999. But as good events will, the DFB grew from an underground nightclub gathering to a premier international fetish event. Post-pandemic, the Fetish Ball partnered with Live Nation, with the Fetish Ball Presents becoming a national brand.
We are thrilled to have been invited to this 23rd year of the festivities, which will include DJs, an interactive dungeon, vendors, and a Lube Booth to keep one’s latex looking its best through the night. What of our latex wardrobe we will be showing? Well, I won’t give away too much, save to say I think there will be a mix of the old and the new and probably be a good amount of attention paid to outerwear in our fashion show.
We are just happy to have been invited to an event of this kind of dressing up and will play to the inclusivity we have been particularly chosen for and which we are humbled to acknowledge. Championing the fetish fantasy fashion faithful is what we have always been about, and we are looking forward to being among our Dallas brothers and sisters and whoever comes in from beyond to celebrate,
Another interesting tidbit about this particular Ball, is that it is being held at the world-famous Longhorn Ballroom. Called Texas’ “Most Historic Music Venue,” the ballroom was opened in 1950 and has hosted an amazing array of legendary musical acts, from Count Basie and Nat King Cole (playing shows in a surely segregated Jim Crow South, at the time!) to Little Richard, Roy Orbison, and Fats Domino to country greats like Charley Pride, Willie Nelson, and Conway Twitty to an infamous 1978 appearance by the Sex Pistols. To many rock acts and others since.
I can’t think of a better spot to be showing our designs and to enjoy the night.
