Although we have caught her sporting sporting gear or latex-like couture from Alexander Vauthier for a trip to the Grammies, who would have thought we’d be lucky enough to catch Rihanna in so much lingerie? At the beginning of this month the singer ‘dropped’ her new Savage x Fety line and it includes 90 pieces of lingerie, sleepwear, and accessories, as well as four core collections.

So with Rihanna and Savage x Fenty we are all officially welcomed into the summer season.
Rihanna seems to be covering all sizes and shapes with her intimates, and between bras, catsuits and other unmentionables (as well as hoodies, jumpsuits, and robes…oh my!) she has all the styles one could want. As the lady explained to June’s Vogue about what she was after:
“You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies. I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”
In addition to paying attention to size and style, Rihanna also made sure to pay attention to shade and color in her pieces. As she has with her makeup line Fenty Beauty, she was sure to incorporate a diverse shade range for Savage x Fenty’s wardrobe.
Explaining further to Vogue:
“As a black woman, I could not live with myself if I didn’t do that,” she said.
‘Branching out’ and ‘branding,’ seems to be as much of what Rihanna is about as singing, performing and writing music. And now she welcomes us all to summer.
