A Latex Pony, Kim’s Rubber, and An Animated Aguilera

It was a busy week indeed for alt. fashion displays featuring latex, rubber, and even one of our best-known divas showing herself off in full animated style. From fashion shows to movie premiere red carpets and a Billboard issue celebrating women, one never knows from where a startling wardrobe might come.

Italian model/actress Julie Fox gave us two must-see moments. Attending Versace’s Fall 2022 show in Milan, the lady had hairstylist Ezio Diaferia craft her hair into a latex-wrapped ponytail. Sleekly slicked, the latex-wrapped serpentine updo fell between the lady’s shoulder blades all the way to the ground.

By all accounts, Fox was managing quite the stir whipping her hair around like a whip.

A few days later, the 32-year-old managed another startling sartorial scene at the NYC premiere of The Batman. Here she was wearing a silver metallic mini, featuring a cartoon image of Catwoman on it, paired with a black high-necked PVC bodysuit all under a latex trench, accessorizing with latex opera gloves. Again, she sported a ponytail.

Kim Kardashian had her own moment at Milan Fashion Week. She was seen both wearing a full rubber gown as she was at a runaway event before that wearing an oversized suit accessorized with latex gloves.

Are latex gloves the accessory of the moment?

Lastly, during a just passed Billboard 2022 “Women in Music” ceremony, Christina Aguilera celebrated appearing on the historic NFT cover for the publication. The singer posted alongside the picture: “Excited to share my first NFT cover with @Billboard!! It’s an honor to be a part of #BBWomenInMusic.”

Yam Karkai, a co-founder of World of Women, is the artist who created the animated cover of the “Aint No Other Man,” diva wearing a silver snakeskin bodysuit. At the beginning of this year, Aguilera wore the same bodysuit for a ‘real’ photoshoot.
