For part two of our Halloween 2026 trending predictions, we again scoured a range of sites, from heavyweight fashion outlets like Variety to online shops, looking for inspiration in latex couture and accessories. This part two of our listings tackles the fantasy worlds cosplayers especially love, calls out the classics (as we feel honor-bound to do), and the phenomenon of TikTok trending.
It seems not just us lovers of cosplay adore superheroes. The glut of DC and Marvel shows and films that came out this year alone speaks to the popularity of this kind of fantasy. We are sure to see plenty of folks dressing as Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. In between the Robert Pattison versions as we are, you still just know there will be plenty of Dark Knights roaming the streets for candy and criminals. Then there are sure to be the many Supergirls, Superman’s, Spider-Men, and so many more from both DC and Marvel we are sure to see.
Then there are the various duds one could get into emulating the characters from the new HBO series, “Lanterns,” Green Lantern suit or plenty of others The takeaway always with superhero Halloween costumes is that the choices, now and seemingly always, are endless.
When it comes to the viral and TikTok trends that seem to come and go in the blink of an eye, we have read that the ‘core aesthetic’ movement will be in full swing, revealing some interesting costume mashups. We will also see, as we have in years past, real-life renderings of emojis and maybe viral, and video clips, influencing Halloween dress.
As far as the horror of the season…this year we saw the sequel Practical Magic 2, so witches, modern versions as well as the old tried and true, are sure to be out and about. We’re also sure to see a few folks dressed as “Nikki” from Obsession, in her recognizable red-and-black zebra halter, black bottoms, and gold jewelry. She might just get more play than a Wednesday Addams or anybody from “Stranger Things” this year.
Then, of course, there is the plethora of classic Halloween costumes and iconic horror characters we might see. From ‘sexy’ maids, both guys and girls can slip into cute little skirts, heels, and tops. A basic latex cape will help anyone transform into a classic or modern-age vampire. Then there are the many accessories and outfits you can buy pretty much anyplace online or at a brick-and-mortar store to dress as The Mummy or Frankenstein’s monster.
Enjoy your Halloween no matter how you dress. Mostly, though, be safe.
Happy Halloween from Dawnamatrix.
