For us here at Dawnamatrix, one of the better latex news sites is Latex24/7. We look across the site often to see what stories they might have culled that we missed or that they have covered from their UK-centric POV. The site just released: Latex Fashion Explodes: Hottest Trends for 2025 Revealed! We feel the piece is worthy of some consideration as obviously it seems 2025 is here to stay, even though we aren’t exactly sure if we agree with all the predictions.
First up, the article mentions a “sports” trend. And while yes, we know of latex designers who design jackets with team logos on them, and some latex pieces might be okay for gym wear, beyond what we managed for the Sukeban Japanese pro wrestlers (yes, we know it’s not all about just what we do), sport and latex might be a longer stretch (excuse the pun) than most when it comes to a legitimate trend for 2025.
The Latex247 piece mentions the popularity of asymmetry in recent fashion and in this we couldn’t agree more. We have already seen the trend in bespoke latex pieces we have rendered and across runways pretty much everywhere. Latex or not, this trend is here to stay. Ruffles are another touch that might indeed become ever more popular in what’s added to latex gowns, etc., as mocha is predicted to be a predominant latex color to enjoy ever more popularity this new year.
Beyond any of this and what else might be coming for 2025, in fashion in general or for latex couture, who can rightly say? But it is fun extrapolating. We know all the fine folks who compete at the World of Wearable Fashion Show do their best to see into the fashion future, but even all those talented designers don’t rightly know what’s coming in 2025 or beyond.
As always, we all just have to wait and see.
