We are so used to seeing Lady Gaga in outrageous outfits, from meat dresses to a wide range of latex couture, to high-end fashions. But, returning to the Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas after a 652-day lay-off, the star of the upcoming “House of Gucci” has taken the strip by storm once again, in her revamped Jazz and Piano residency.
Gaga is wowing with her music and outfits, both.
Lady Gaga wore five different looks for her new show. Sporting a top hat for quite a few wardrobe moments, she wore a dress with a sky-high leg slit made of sequins, a tassel mini dress, a long rhinestone gown encased in a poofy wrap, and a pink feather boa dress accessorized with a big overcoat.
Many of these new outfits were designed by Lady Gaga’s sister, Natali Germanotta.
On September 30th just passed, Gaga released “Love for Sale,” her second and final jazz recording with legend Tony Bennett. In her Vegas show, Gaga lovingly exploits this jazzy turn through twenty songs, including many jazz-pop standards like “Luck Be a Lady,” and “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” plus six new songs including Cole Porter’s standard, “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love).” She also performed jazz orchestrated renditions of her hits “Poker Face,” “Born This Way,” “Paparazzi,” and “Bad Romance.”
As the lady herself posted with pictures from the show on Instagram (a few showcasing the her well-toned legs and bottom): “I feel so blessed everyday that I get to do what I love the most—making the world happy through art, laughter, kindness, and commitment to community. Thank you for believing in me all these years. And thank you to jazz music. I feel very privileged to sing this music with friends and colleagues some of which I’ve been with 18 years.
