Model Binta Dibba on America’s Next Top Model

We have certainly been honored to have fitted our latex outfits on some amazing models. Through the years of runway events, magazine shoots, episodes of T.V. shows and commercials we have seen quite a few Dawnamatrix pieces and accessories adorning some wonderful men and women. We report time and again how sweet these pros are to us, as are the hair and make-up people scurrying around backstage to get last minute touch-ups right, the photographers and crew doing their best to make a few minutes of a costume design experience the best it can be. We just learned that a model we worked with at the recent Seattle Fashion Week Designer Expose will be featured on VH1’s reboot of their America’s Next Top Model show.

The lady in question is Binta Dibba. She is originally from Gambia and now lives in Seattle, represented by SMG Models. In the picture you see here of Binta, she is modeling our custom Hello Kitty Mermaid Gown. She is a great lady, consummate pro, and an obviously talented model as this picture attests (and you can see her at her SMG profile here: https://www.smgmodels.com/talent/98240/ ) and it was our absolute pleasure to work with her.

The reboot of ANTM will be hosted by Rita Ora and include judges Ashley Graham, Paper mag’s Dre Elliot and stylist Law Roach. The show will feature 14 aspiring models (of which Binta is one) and premier on VH1 December 12^th. Tyra Banks, former host and mentor, is still involved as the producer of the show and is supposedly going to make occasional appearances. With a “Dream Can Come True” tag line for what the show’s trailer calls “The Ultimate Fashion Competition“ VH1 is expecting lots of viewers for this model competition/couture fest this time around.

We will certainly be watching and wish Binta the greatest success in the upcoming season of ANTM…and beyond!
