You know how you’ll reach for certain latex outfits depending on your mood? A catsuit fits you just snuggly perfect when you want to step out all sexy at an event, or you might sneak our Cherry Blossom Thong just so you have a secret under your business suit? One of the new fashions exhibited at the CES show in Las Vegas this week was Anouk Wipprecht’s “Spider Dress.” This outfit actually rises up when its’ wearer feels anxiety (it also detects when someone is too close to the wearer’s personal space); in effect the clothes react to your mood!
Nervous System revealed a second dress in their Kinematics 4D line (some people are just not happy with 3D.) The first Kinematics dress featured thousands upon thousands of interlocking pieces 3D printed as one piece, allowing the very best in visually arresting bespoke couture with the wearer making what they want right from their printer. The new dress has a thousand added panels (that’s a total of 3,212) and is much lighter than its predecessor, a huge selling point when it comes to attempting to sell wearable 3 or 4D to the masses.
There were also great strides made in the care and cleaning of clothes. LG’s Styler Wardrobe, fitted with the company’s “Clothes Care System” features their TrueSteam. This hot stream spray supposedly rids clothes put into the Styer of 99.9 per cent germs and bacteria.
