The high star power glamour of the Venice Film Festival is currently celebrating its 82nd edition across eleven days and you can bet we will be on the lookout for a latex dress, an alternative turn of jacket, any and all kinds of interesting couture.
What we have seen so far…
Cate Blanchett, who you may have seen heading lots of posts and blogs about this year’s festival opening stepped across the premier red carpet wearing an Armani Privé gown. Sharp-eyed fashionistas as well as casual fans noticed that Blanchett wore this floor length black gown length at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2022.
And both times (and if she wears it again surely) she looked stunning.
Emma Stone exited a vaporetto in a black halter neck dress, sporting lace trim.
Contrasting the all-black of these two ladies, Valentina Cabassi was dressed in a white blazer with oversized shoulder pads and equally white mini shorts. And Tilda Swinton brought black and white both to the Opening Ceremony, wearing a long black skirt with a white blouse tucked in.
Celebrated daughter of Kim Kardashian, North West, revealed her own bold couture sense. The twelve-year-old wore gray-and-white pinstripe adorned with safety pins, her blue hair tied in ponytails. North West attended the festival with her mom, Kim wearing a long black dress with heels.
And for most daring couture (but alas not a hint of latex anywhere in the mix for truly daring) Heidi Klum and her daughter Leni, wore corset gowns; Heidi in blush, Leni black.
Amal Clooney, walking around with husband George, come to promote his movie “Jay Kelly” was seen holding her husband’s hand walking the festival the day before it opened. She wore a butter-yellow tight dress. Clooney just left the festival today because of a bad sinus infection.
As this is merely the beginning of the week and a few days, we are sure to see lots of wardrobe changes, maybe more color, and hopefully an interesting textile or two (hint hint).
