Yes, sometimes a piece of latex lingerie is all one needs to make a statement.
Twenty-two-year-old Canadian singer Tate McRae just posted some pictures across her @/gavingram account. In one, she is wearing some heart-stopping latex lingerie. If this woman hasn’t made a statement before, and she did as a finalist on Canada’s So You Think You Can Dance, and with her debut single “One Say,” she does in these new pics wearing a latex thong, opera-length latex gloves, a hood and stilettos.
During her recent “Miss Possessive Tour,” McRae wore a host of stage costumes, including black bodysuits, oversized jackets, platform boots, and what seems to have become her signature, striped track pants (and much more). McRae’s tour, which ended two weeks ago, grossed over one hundred million dollars and surely made a statement in any city she hit.
This bunch of behind-the-scenes pics on her other Instagram account shows pics Tate posted just before the last show of the tour. She also posted pictures recently on Instagram, pushing a piece of ice into the middle of her red bra.
Surely, a woman conversant in wearing lingerie, taking provocative shots for her fans and converting her viral fame into real-life ticket purchasing, we need to applaud, no matter if she is wearing latex accessories or couture. But we all know latex costumes are nearly ubiquitous in the pop diva world (on men and women both). From Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls)”, Rihanna’s “S&M” Tour.
And let’s not forget that infamous WAP video.
All of our readers hailing from the US might not feel that they are ready to slip into some latex lingerie by the end of this week’s food extravaganza. But Tate McRae has us (un)covered until we are ready to show what we want in the near future.
