Getting beyond Kim Kardashian ‘breaking’ the net last week with the release of SKIMS’s ‘merkin’ G-strings, or Al Pacino and Robert De Niro joining a Moncler fashion campaign, there was indeed fashion news that actually featured latex. One of our news items below features Kim’s close relative, another, a celebrity who seems to keep on reinventing herself and the last a throw-back pic proving that, for some, good genetics are a reality.
And again, both wearing latex.
Kim’s half-sister Kylie Jenner uploaded a bunch of snaps on Instagram last week, showing that one need not be stepping out across a red carpet, runway, or even on a high-profile celebrity date. In the images, the beautiful brunette poses against a white wall in a black latex mini, sporting thin shoulder straps featuring the most daring cutouts across its front.
But Kylie, as well Kim, did indeed rock latex couture out and about last week. Celebrating the ten-year anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie showed up in a pink curve-hugging latex dress; Kim wore a light pink knee-length one.
There were sure some stunning high couture reveals across the red carpet at Hulu’s All’s Fair premier just passed. From (again) Kim Kardashian (who also stars in the show) in a form-hugging Schiaparelli, to other cast members, Teyana Taylor and Niecy Nash in their respective strapless gowns (Nash’s, a bright red sequin) there was one notable latex piece at this particular outing. Jessica Simpson showed her curves in a sexy floor-length sleeveless black latex dress sporting a sky-high slit and plunging neckline.
Nobody can ever count Jessica Simpson out.
And in a ‘throw back’ pic posted last week, Sofia Vergara revealed some pictures of her younger self (the blog o’ sphere speculating that the pictures are from sometime in the 90s) standing in a latex dress of bright yellow against an equally yellow background. Latex and classic beauty never really goes out of style.
A good week for fashion and latex, we’d say.
