Once again, we can proudly say there has been a bunch of recent latex couture sightings….
The annual BRIT Awards, celebrating the UK music industry, delivered a bunch of celebs in wonderful latex couture. There was YouTube personality/author/presenter Nikki Lilly in a strapless red maxi latex dress festooned with rhinestones and single leg slit, exuding a true Jessica Rabbit vibe. English model, author, and body activist, Charli Howard attended in a sleeveless column ankle-length dress also sporting a slit, this time in the back center to help with her walking. And we saw British model/dancer, Tasha Amber Ghouri make her latex wardrobe debut wearing a floor-length cross-front red gown.
Scottish singer Tallia Storm, announced her newest single, “F*ckboy,” by updating her Instagram profile photo, wearing a full-length latex gown.
And here in the States, another singer, Blake Lively tapped Lady Gaga’s NYC-based latex designer Reneé Masoomian for what she wore to the SXSW premiere of her movie, “Another Simple Favor.” Wearing a vintage-influenced strapless pink latex corset paired with an ankle-length skirt, the ensemble bordered with black lace, Lively accessorized with a thin black belt and black open-toe pumps.
And in another USA movie event, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia attended the “Queen Of The Ring” premiere held in LA, wearing a curve-hugging red latex dress, accessorizing with red boots.
“Nothing I love more than bad ass women that refuse to take no for an answer and pave a way unseen and break a barrier that no one wants broken,” she captioned in this Instagram post.
This is what’s so much fun about our favorite textile. Not only do we see so much of it out and about these days. But we see latex on all kinds of celebrities as they walk across award show red carpets, post on their Instagrams, and attend all kinds of premiers, across so many cities.
As is evident, the latex couture hits just keep comin’!
