And here we thought Britney Spears would be the only one synonymous with a red latex catsuit iconic fashion moment. But it seems, Kylie Jenner, seemingly to pop up everywhere these days in some scrumptious wardrobe, latex or not (she wore a shimmering Ashi Studio gown at the just past Golden Globes) is making news in her latest fragrance campaign…wearing a red latex catsuit.
Even in her fashion brand Khy, Jenner has never rocked a curve-hugging latex piece such as this. But who better to bring off a latex catsuit other than Kylie? Sharing the images across Instagram for her latest fragrance, Cosmic Intense, which Jenner calls “a deeper, more seductive take on Cosmic; rich, warm, and addictive,” the 28-year-old cultural icon/entrepreneur is seemingly advertising her scent for Valentine Day.
In almost all the pictures of the new campaign Jenner is dressed in the catsuit, lying and standing respectively. She also poses with a large bottle of Cosmic, seemingly rendered in latex, as well as featuring a miniature of the bottle, pierced through her matching red nail.
We might well remember that Britney Spears “Oops… I Did It Again,” breakout video at the beginning of the new century. It’s interesting to read, that Michael Bush, designer on that video, created Britney’s catsuit overnight, as the outfit was a last-minute consideration.
We also just saw Bianca Censori, wear a darker shade red latex catsuit at the beginning of last month. Appearing in Seoul, Korea, premiering her contemporary performance art, “BIO POP (THE ORIGIN),” Censori sat on a chair made of a figure in nude latex bodysuit, over a woman acting as if she were a light fixture.
Could she have been channeling Allen Jones’ Hatstand, Table and Chair?
As expected, Kanye West attended the show, dressed in head to toe black.
