Wearing latex like she does in her infamous WAP video, or just a bedazzled bodysuit and boots, it’s hard to ignore Cardi B. The 33-year-old-rapper, out on her Little Miss Drama Tour, dropped a viral video this week of her inviting Meek Mill on stage in Philadelphia. Unwrapping herself from a black fur coat while Meek begins, Cardi revealed yet another startling stage costume of red bustier and chaps.
We thought we’d check in with some of the other costumes Cardi B is wearing on stage this time around.
There are various bodysuits, a silver one sporting daring front cutouts, which Cardi accessorizes with ankle boots and a headpiece. A blue-and-silver skintight one-piece she pairs again with ankle boots, in blue. (She also sports oversized slouchy thigh-high boots in the show). The Asher Levine-designed silver “Glory Cyber,” clunky silver-and-black robot-like full body covering with mechanical-like joints for knees sports embedded LED technology so parts of Cardi’s chest, waist, and thighs illuminate in glowing silvers morphing to icy blue as she moves. A lace, string and tights ensemble, with a nearly exposed bust, covering her (where it does) in various shades of orange and yellow. An all-black and an equally black leather under-bust corset, layered over a shimmering silver mesh jumpsuit.
And let’s not forget those chaps.
Back in this blog we mentioned how Card B. wore an all-latex ensemble (leggings, high-waist panty, opera gloves, crop top, choker and thigh-high boots) in the picture for her online poster her Little Miss Drama Tour announcement. So far on stage for these shows she hasn’t shown much use for our favorite textile (more leather and lace), but we can hope someplace she might sneak latex in (a lady can change her mind or add and subtract to her wardrobe, can’t she?)
Either way, Cardi B is once again making headlines, with what she wears, what she sings, who she invites on stage and just who she is. And deservedly so.
