Latex Banned At The 2026 Golden Globes

Ok, there wasn’t exactly a ban on latex wardrobe at the 2026 Golden Globes, which aired this past Sunday. Still not one nominee, presenter, attendee or the show’s host (this year Nikki Glaser) took to wearing our favorite textile.

Despite this, there were some interesting wardrobe choices to make note of from an alt. fashion perspective.

Winner of the “Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture” Teyana Taylor was dressed in a bespoke Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown. Featuring a sexy back cutout, the 35-year-old singer, actress, dancer and choreographer did not disappoint accessorizing the stunning outfit with a crystal thong sporting a bow, easily notice.

Playing off her recently announced Louis Vuitton ambassadorship, Chase Infiniti was in another bespoke gown, this time pairing a velvet skirt with a silver metallic hand-embroidered bustier.

Going Teyana Taylor one better with her cutouts, Jenna Ortega invaded the red carpet with true goth sexy wearing a black Dilara Findikoglu. The outfit’s side cutouts and fringe surely made her wardrobe choice for this night one of the stand outs.

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the voices of Kpop Demon Hunters’ fictional band HUNTR/X, could not be missed arriving as a formidable trio. Audrey Nuna, dressed in a long-sleeved cape dress sporting an oversize bow, might have worn the best accessory of the night…a black and white chunky platform Thom Browne heels made of a leather pebble grain.

Rating currently as the best see-thru dress of the evening, Jennifer Lawrence’s slip dress sported discreetly placed embroidered pink-and-green flowers. Looking closely (one really didn’t even have to look all that closely, actually) those who cared could easily spy Lawrence’s matching beige G-string.

Kristen Bell may win the award for wearing the most interesting textile of the night. Dressed in an optical illusion Giorgio Armani Privé, her little black satin dress seemed to drape her frame in moving black liquid.

As we always do with any big Hollywood night like this, we could only hope for a latex dress or even an accessory, but alas we didn’t see our favorite textile at this year’s 2026 Golden Globes. Still, still there were some rather alluring styles and we can hope, as always, for next year.
