As we have seen time and again on our latex models, it’s as much what one wears as how one wears it. Sporting a fantastic figure and being able to wiggle into a latex bodysuit is not all there is to showing off our clothes, as it is not all there is to going out on the town or to a party showing off some smart latex couture. Wearing latex is about confidence, picking the right outfit for your particular style, maybe ordering some bespoke latex piece that really speaks to you.
It is also about safety.
This is no small point and one we make often when asked about proper latex wear. There is the care you need to take removing as well as slipping on any latex outfit or accessory. There is the care you need to give the garment by making sure it is sufficiently lubed, when on or off you. And there is care you need when storing your latex (see here). But when wearing a latex outfit, and again, even just an accessory, we caution everyone, long time latex wearers and first-timers both, step out and about with some sure attention to how your body is reacting. The often-restrictive nature of latex clothing, bright lights either at a photo shoot or event, the close confines of fellow partiers around you, all can surely cause your body heat to rise…and quickly.
What specifically prompted this caution was hearing the news of Megan Thee Stallion’s mid-show hospitalization during her performance in Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Doctors identified ‘extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels,’ as the cause of Megan having to leave the show. And while working in a Broadway musical is different than a rap concert, one might also consider the bedazzled black bodysuit corset that Megan wears as “Zidler” in the show as possibly adding to her expulsion at the matinee yesterday.
Rapper or rockstar; cosplayer, sport team mascot or even Scarlett Johansson in her all-too-sexy Black Panther outfit; a Dawnamatrix runway model or even possibly Megan Thee Stallion during her Broadway run…when wearing clothing made of latex, leather, PVC or anything else restricting the body, even in the slightest, remember, safety first.
Luckily, Megan is seemingly continuing her work in the show, supposedly returning tonight.
