Basking though we are in the glow of our big WOW win (see here and here), we realize the latex wardrobe world keeps spinning regardless of anyone’s personal news. This last day of September, we wanted to report on a few stories of celebrities wearing latex at the end of this month.
Across four sold-out shows in New York City just recently, as part of her mini-tour theme “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things,” the singer featured a haunted castle backdrop and other darker stage fantasies. All perfect dressing to roll us right into the Halloween season, but of the three of her four-night stand, Roan’s stylist Genesis Webb also helped the singer dress in multi-layered latex and leather bespoke pieces.
Roan took the stage at Forrest Hills Stadium in a Monique Fei floor-length, flesh-colored latex cape, robe, and veil. Taking off the latex robe, Roan revealed a high-neck “playsuit” with cutouts.
This Teen Vogue article describes how Chappell’s custom latex took 700 hours to make.
Kim Kardashian appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon poured into a black liquid latex dress sporting a plunging neckline and a leg slit running sky high up her thigh. Matching the ensemble with a choker, platform shoes, and an anklet, she made quite the splash, as to be expected. After the show, Kardashian was seen in a see-thru catsuit attending the launch of her new NikeSkims line, with her mom Kris, and other family members.
‘Across the pond,’ Spanish socialite and influencer Alba Diaz Martin was seen attending Spanish language celebrity news magazine Hola!’s Gen H! Awards. The lady took to the red carpet of the event in a well-known Tulip Cup latex dress. Split, adjustable straps, and skin-tight latex set Alba off perfectly in an iconic design.
October is coming, so we know there will be plenty to consider in the way of costumes, alt. styles, and yes, hopefully, latex.
