Considering Jewelry As A Latex Accessory

Last week, there were a bunch of comments made about pictures Bella Hadid posted wearing white latex while advertising a new addition to her fragrance company, Oreblla. And although the supermodel did indeed look smashing in her plunging latex tank and short skirt, in one of the main pictures, one notices the latex couture set against a bright pearl and crystal necklace Bella wore.

Which could get one thinking about how we might specifically accessorize our latex wardrobe with jewelry.

Surely, boots, gloves, masks, hats—made of latex or not—are common accessories for latex dressing as well as with alternative couture in general. But in the Bella picture, it is the necklace that’s most striking. Sure, in another picture, as you see above, she’s wearing a furry white jacket, but clothes are one thing, jewelry another.

As you will see here, Dawnamatrix has dipped a toe (or is that more a neck and wrist?) into jewelry considerations when it comes to pairing this particular accessory with latex. From chokers to belts, to earrings and more, we have some pieces featured in our catalogue that we think works well with latex couture. And as with anything you might add to your latex wardrobe (such as, indeed, a furry white jacket) jewelry can make a statement above and beyond the statement you might be making with the actual item(s) of clothing you are wearing. As jewelry pieces can complement or oppose, your latex look.

As you see from our link above, and as even a casual latex wearer will know, metallics work well set against latex, as do bright colors. So as it is with the multitude of latex textures and colors available presently so too can we pick lots of different kinds of jewelry pieces to set against the actual clothing we wear.

As with anything, personal taste and style is the very best accessory to any latex dress or anything else you might choose to wear. But Bella did prompt us this week to consider jewelry with our latex looks. We say: be creative, have fun, but always…be you.
