As always, we try to keep you updated on latex couture happenings, alternative fashion moments, cosplay, and anything else unusually fashionable (or is it fashionably unusual?) that happens in any given week. The three stories below might interest you…
First off, as we have been hearing for a while now, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is on the way. The movie’s ‘Now in Production’ teaser has been released (see here)—and in this very brief clip featuring a camera swirling over the picture above—we hear voice-overs from some of the cast. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles in this film that will be released sometime next year,
We read this report about the Berlin Fashion Week just passed. The four-day event featured red carpet walks, pop-up stores, studio openings at breweries, construction sites, and even at the city’s legendary Kit Kat club. With a near minute of silence observed at the GmbH show in memory of people killed in Gaza, a show featuring “textile colonialism,” (the upcycling of discarded garments) handcrafted and lace latex among so many other materials, this near full week fashion ‘week,’ surely reflected the times and is gaining in popularity.
Lastly, Kylie Jenner stunned again in latex. This time the famous sister of the famous sisters posed mere hours after the wedding of the summer—Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez (where Jenner wore a laced white lingerie dress)—taking pictures of herself sitting on a boat and in a hotel room wearing a revealing black bikini top with a black cover-up, all seemingly made from our favorite textile.
Really could we ask for more?
As the summer progresses, we are sure to have a few more round-ups like this to tickle your sartorial sensibilities (San Diego Comic Con, runway shows, concert appearances, video ‘drops’). So, stay tuned, more is coming.
