Gaydio Radio, Malaika Arora, WINGS, and Kylie Jenner Again

On the shiny latex heels of Kylie Jenner partnering her KHY brand with latex designer Poster Girl (which we alerted you to last week), the Jenner sister shared a candid Q&A, while wearing a skin-tight tight latex dress. Kylie declared that yes, she’d wear this very same dress when picking her kids up from school, among other outings, a statement that quickly divided her fans.

Does this reveal her vampy sense of humor, her confidence (she looks smashing in the PG latex), or a mix of the two? Who’s to say with Kylie?

No one should be surprised at the couture creativity that would come from the annual Gaydio Radio Pride Awards. And at this recent celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community radio in the UK, some fantastic latex wardrobe was seen. Award-winning trans advocate, and UK TV personality Ella Morgan, no stranger to latex couture, hit the purple carpet in a creamy chocolate-colored full-length latex gown. It featured a front slit with a low-cut neck. Bonyx brand co-founder and musician Bimini and RuPaul Drag Race UK vs the World’s Tia Kofi, paired up for their walk-in, each sporting latex.

Indian actress/dancer/model/VJ, and TV personality Malaika Arora was seen walking with Indian filmmaker/producer Rohit Shetty and choreographer/producer, Remo D’Souza wearing a black latex bodysuit and burgundy knee-high boots. Arora had arrived for the shoot of her dance reality show ‘Hip Hop India Season 2’, impressively tucked up and in, wearing latex in the Mumbai heat. The day also being Shetty’s birthday, you can see a Youtube video of it all here). This article highlights Arora’s many turns in our favorite textile, something she surely wears well.

Now, whether we can accurately predict a certain sartorial future event featuring latex or not, one could assume that the upcoming May 8 to 10, 2025, WINGS Fashion Festival might showcase some interesting fashion turns, at the very least. This first-ever independent runway show in Sydney will feature the creative talents of emerging designers. This WINGS show happens May 8th to the 10th this year, just before Australian Fashion Week.
