Kim Kardashian, Bigger Than Ever

We can’t exactly weigh in if it was made of latex or not, but there was no ignoring the 60-foot Kim Kardashian balloon lying on a platform in New York City’s Time Square. The ‘gigantic Kim” (two words that could often be used to describe the uber-popular reality star/business mogul) was an advertisement for Kim’s new Skim’s swimwear collection.

K.K. posed for pictures advertising her new swimwear collection, showing her on a beach in a blue bikini. A replica of Kim and that bikini was rendered into the huge balloon (the Skims Swim’s triangle top and tanga bottoms are also available in Champagne Leopard, Champagne Tiger, Snow, and Onyx). The entire installation was executive produced by Amy Kule of the Merry Wonderer company, which has overseen Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. No stranger to big balloons, this lady, or Macy’s and New York City; Snoopy, Spiderman, or the first-ever in the famous parade, Felix the Cat all big balloon stars in that famous parade.

The balloon was set on an elevated 4-foot blue deck wrapped in the Skim’s logo.

Known for ‘larger-than-life’ displays in her personal life and business, and famous for ‘breaking the net’ way back when showing off one of her more famous assets in Paper Magazine, one need wonder how many New Yorkers took a moment to at least snap a picture of her big balloon?

In conjunction with the big balloon Skim’s rollout, this past Saturday, Skims hosted a spring event on the fourth floor of NYC’s Bloomingdale’s. Revealing the new swimwear line to shoppers, free ice cream and branded hair clips were given with any purchase.

Kardashian’s Skims brand was valued at $4 billion dollars in 2023 and is said to be responsible for a large portion of her $1.7 billion net worth. It certainly is a ‘big’ concern.
