Abracadabra! It’s Lady Gaga…and Latex

Yes, Lady Gaga, give us our latex!

In her brand-new Abracadabra music video, which premiered during the just-past 2025 Grammy awards, the lady who answers her Little Monsters dreams as much as wears a startling array of fantastic costumes (and quite often latex couture) once again thrills us all. Working with a wide variety of talented folks here, each she makes sure to name every chance she can, stylists Peri Rosenzweig and Nick Royal lead Lady Gaga in what Vogue calls A Freaky Fashion Fantasy.

We are treated to our favorite textile right from the start of the clip. Lady Gaga is wearing a red latex cape, sporting latex nails, and wearing a spiked and wide-brimmed hat made by Berlin designer Maximilian Gedra.

See above, it’s a startling fantastic look.

Later on, we see the Lady in a catsuit featuring sheer panels with hook-and-eye closures. She also wears a high-collared white lace coat; it’s made of repurposed wedding dresses. And Lady Gaga later sports a gown adorned with a bubble-hem bustle. As she has made known in quite a few interviews about “Abracadabra,” Gaga claims she as much used upcycled materials in the video, as deadstock ones (those that have been stored in warehouses for a good amount of time) all to keep her overproducing to a minimum in rendering new items.

Lady Gaga also claims (and this is for the monsters surely to notice) that she used a good amount of pieces from her archives, “reinterpreting” her old costumes. There’s also a true return to big dance numbers here, surely prompting even the most casual fan to recall Gaga videos of old. So, from costumes to expansive choreography to surely the song itself, “Abracadabra,” is a winner.
“Abracadabra,” with many others, will be featured on Lady Gaga’s seventh album called Mayhem to be released in March.
