OrlanDo’s Look, A Banana at The Emmy’s, Cher Is An Angel

Be they involving latex, an alternative fashion moment, or some cosplay news, you know how we often like to grab a bunch of stories from the news cycle and give them an airing from time to time here. No, we are certainly not above ‘acquiring’ these little snippets, from the sublime to the serious to the silly, and posting them. Who knows what you might have seen and what you might have missed in the onslaught of the stuff that comes at us all at all hours?

So enjoy:

Where His Eyes Bloomed

Last week the net was on fire over news coming out of New York City concerning Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, and Kim Kardashian. The trio attended the Kering Caring for Women Dinner and at that party (What, you weren’t there? They must have lost your invitation in the mail), a picture was snapped of the celebs, where it seems Katy’s husband is checking out Kim’s net-breaking bottom.

Kim revealed that she was wearing a 3D Molded Liquid Rubber Balenciaga Wet Dress so there is no denying one of her most famous assets was well encased. A day later, before the sure pestilence of locusts that had to follow something so terrible, Katy remarked when shown the picture on the DJ Elvis Duran’s show, “I approve. So, wait, what’s the controversy?”

A banana in the mix

With the amount of backslapping that occurs at an award show like the Primetime Emmy’s and the red carpet fashion show, it would be hard for anyone to sneak across with a show-stealing wardrobe that wasn’t initially detected. But Leo Tsao, a Taiwanese American, also known as Nymphia Wind, did just that. Winning the 16h season of RuPaul’s Drag Race this year Tsao was dressed in a lime green bodysuit and equally green pointy-toed heels but walked rather undetected until Tsao pushed arms out on either side of the costume, forcing a peel to flap down to reveal Tsao in a head-to-toe lime green banana-shaped costume.

One can’t count the angels out

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has announced that Cher will headline the brand’s first big runway showcase since 2018.

“But she won’t be alone…stay tuned, more announcements are coming to round out our first-ever, all-women lineup,” V.S.’s announcement promised. One might recall the show being cancelled amid criticism of the company’s lack of inclusivity and adherence to stringent beauty standards.

In 2022 the company attempted a mini-return with The Tour, a Prime Video special. This show featured a performance from Doja Cat. This years is going to feature Cher, but who knows, who else?
