The iHeartRadio Music Awards Gets Damn Sexy

640_taylor_swift_madonna_iheartradio_BACKTOBACKLeather corsets, garters & stockings, gloves, green Versace leather boots matching an equally green fur coat, oh my; The iHeartRadio Music Awards rocked with some very sexy wardrobe styles Sunday night. Sure, it was big news when Destiny’s Child reformed (for the night) and plenty of other performers made a solid showing but for us Rihanna emerging from a helicopter to sing her new “Bitch Better Have My” (see here) in black mini-Adam Sleman, Kelly green fur and thigh-high stockings and matching leather boots could not be missed. And equally alluring from our p.o.v. was Madonna sitting on stage performing her new “Ghosttown” (see here) next to her back-up guitarist for the night, Taylor Swift, the both of them in stunning ensembles; Madge sporting a leather corset over a white collared dress shirt, her seemingly signature gloves these days, lace and satin camisole, with garter, fishnet stockings and knee-high boots and Taylor Swift in sleeveless black dress which featured a thigh high slit her own showing stockings and knee-highs peaking through (though the 25 year old pop/country star donned a sparkly though-not-yet-available-for-the-pubic Kaufmanfranco dress when receiving her awards later.

Certainly the iHeartRadio performance/award show is another in a long list of self-celeb congratulatory made-for-T.V. moments, but there is no denying recent onstage fashions are of a whole different-dare we dream it-alternative bent these days? Sure, the original Material Girl and Rihanna have been known to show more than a little skin (Madonna at 56 isn’t shying away from revealing as much of herself as she can) but when we get Taylor Swift dressing so sexy, it’s either that we are one stretch closer to a couture apocalypse or what Dawnamatrix has been about for years is coming to pass…leather, latex, thigh high fishnets and corsets are damn sexy and the world is coming to realize it more and more.rihanna-bitch-better-have-my-money-iheart-radio-video
